Bill Metera

Mr. Metera is an expert Engineer with hands on experience on Turbine Engines and accessories. Bill provides Turbine Engine Support to Airline and Corporate aviation customers with advice and material to ensure an efficient and cost-effective operation, while maintaining a focus on reliability and safety. In addition, he provides on-site technical assistance to the US Air Force for propulsion related programs.
Mr. Metera, formed a joint venture (JV) with Directional Aviation Capital in 2014. The JV was named N1, LLC and created two FAA 145 repair stations in Arizona and West Virginia to service Flexjet’s fleet of over 300 engines, ultimately growing that business to include work on third-party fleets. N1, LLC was sold to Honeywell Aerospace in 2019.

Mr. Metera was the primary Sales Executive for Delta TechOps from 2006 to 2013, where he led record-setting revenue growth for Delta by winning major airframe and engine maintenance contracts with several tier one customers. Before becoming Sales Executive, Mr. Metera served on the initial sales team for Delta, creating the TechOps brand and winning the initial third-party customer work for Delta as a Sales Manager. Mr. Metera contributed to growing Delta TechOps revenue from start-up to over $600 million dollars annually. Before starting the insourcing business unit, Mr. Metera began his career at Delta working as a shop engineer and soon was promoted to various levels of management within the maintenance organization.

Prior to starting Delta TechOps, Mr. Metera worked with several companies in roles of increasing responsibility, while all linked to starting new business units. These companies include Exxon Company USA, General Electric Aircraft Engines, and Honeywell Aerospace.
